No Name Bar - This no-name bar is a study in opposites. It’s hip but doesn’t try too hard; it’s raw and elemental—the interior’s brick with a plastic sheet separating it from the patio—but somehow it feels snuggly (maybe it’s the roaring indoor heat lamps). Talk about cozy: if you go on a weeknight, you’ll probably end up playing Connect Four with the bartender. During the week the place feels like a neighborhood spot for local regulars, whereas on the weekend you get the usual Bridge and Tunnelers, suits, and Meatpackers. Regardless, the drinks are spot-on, the grilled food’s excellent, and it’s got enough charm to spare, even if it does become the next Meatpacking hotspot.
