Pop Burger Midtown - A spinoff of the Meatpacking burger joint/lounge hybrid, this larger Midtown East outpost takes the mod fast food, fast times concept to a new level—three levels, to be precise. The first floor's futuristic burger stand entices late night revelers to dine cafeteria style, with phrases glowing from an etched aluminum-clad illuminated word wall. For sit-down service, the second-floor lounge offers much the same menu as the takeaway counter, at double the price—a small one to pay to eat your sliders in the comfort of lipstick-red felt banquettes and L-shaped molded plywood chairs. At night, the focus shifts to cocktails—though with a drink menu quadruple the size of the one for food, it's pretty evident where the focus lies—that reflect the sexy (the Velvet Panty of black vodka, cointreau, Chambord and lime) and flashy (the Bling Bling, made with citrus vodka, cointreau and lime) atmosphere. Through the white oak bar, projectors flashing movies and music videos on the wall, and multitude of speakers blasting Top 40 and dance hits provide ample entertainment, head to the third floor pool lounge that doubles as a private event space to get your game on.
