Radegast Biergarten - Aiming to duplicate the success of popular outer borough haunts like Astoria’s Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden, Radegast Biergarten brings the picnic tables and giant beer stein scene to Williamsburg. There are a few notable upgrades, including a lengthy wine list and retractable roof panels that make this beer garden a year-round destination. The indoor hall has an old world alehouse vibe; one almost expects road-weary travelers to park their mules outside and slide up to the bar (you’ll have to content yourself with scruffy indie rockers locking up their bikes). Of course, this is foodie-obsessed Williamsburg, so not everything is purposefully downscale: you can complement your brew with roasted quail in dunkel beer sauce, or homemade vanilla ice cream drowned in root beer.
