Opal - An all-around good time isn’t necessarily easy to find in Midtown, but Opal somehow manages to pull it off.
There’s nothing so special about the bar – it’s on the smaller side, has a rich wood interior and your typical drink list – but it works for a chill night out with the guys, a first date or a post-work drink with the coworkers. In the summer, small outdoor tables surround the bar, perfect for intimate conversations. Inside, TVs are placed strategically, and tables are plentiful.
Drink prices are definitely fair, and during the day (and into the night) Opal serves upscale dishes from spicy quesadillas to hearty steaks. It’s a low-key place that regulars flock to, and dutifully fulfills its role as a neighborhood favorite.
