New York City's Top 10 New Year's Eve Parties

It's the one party of the year that we all love to hate, but hate to miss. New Year's Eve is finally upon us and the best nightlife venues in town are ready to host the "biggest," "best," and most "memorable," events of the year. With rumors swirling that this will be the last end-of-the-year celebration on the planet (12-21-2012), there's no way you can stick to the typical house party this year. With so many open bars and world-renown DJs in town, we're here to help. We've narrowed down the list to the top ten New Year's Eve parties in New York City:

#1 Avicii at Pier 94
Quite possibly the most popular event that New York City has to offer this year, Avicii is ready to hit NYC on the most anticipated night of the year. Tickets for this event sold out in minutes, and the second batch that went up for sale went just as quickly. If you have tickets, thank your lucky stars.

#2 Dream Hotel NYE
One of the most talked about hotels in New York City is ready to open their doors on the biggest night of the year. The Dream Hotel has hosted herds of socialites and A-listers thus far, now they're giving you a chance to be a part of the action. You'll feel special as soon as you walk in.

#3 Tequila Bar w/ The Gipsy Kings at Victor & Spoils
If a modern Mexican taqueria and tequila bar sounds like the perfect alternative setting for a New Year's Eve night, then Victor & Spoils should be your destination. Throw in music by the world-renown Gipsy Kings, and you're talking an amalgamated Latin experience like none other.

#4 The Penthouse at Rivington Hotel
It's a low-key party at one of the most underrated spaces in New York City. The penthouse at the Rivington Hotel is a site for sore eyes. It's been voted one of America's sexiest hotels, and on New Year's Eve they're once again hosting a soiree that's anticipated to sell-out. If tickets are still available, jump on them. Just thank us later.

#5 New Years Eve 2012 at Yotel Hotel

A hotel that's straight out of the pages of a Japanimation comic book, Yotel is a hotel that you have to see to believe. While we didn't think they'd be hosting a NYE party this year, we were wrong. Five-hours of premium open bar only makes this event that much better.

#6 Times Square Madness at Times Square

This is quite possibly the most popular ticket in town. Not only will you have access to watch the ball drop in Times Square (a world-renown experience), but you can also access some of the parties going on around the area. Some are family friendly, some are booze-fueled, one thing's for sure - you'll definitely have a lot of variety in store.

#7 Room 50 at Dream Hotel

The ticket may seem a little pricey, but remember - who hasn't heard about the Dream Hotel by now? Room 50, located in the lobby of the chic hotel, is sophistication at its best. What much do you think you'd spend on drinks in an hour? For this price, you get a six-hour premium open bar. Not bad if you ask us.

#8 Bring 2012 in Style at Bryan Park Grill

Each year it comes back and only gets better. Bryant Park Grill hosts an NYE event featuring a top shelf open bar (yes…top shelf) for six hours, gourmet hors d'oeuvres, and music served up by a surprise guest DJ. And if that appetite creeps up on your in the early hours of New Year's day, there's a continental breakfast as well. Need anything else?

#9 Steve Lawler After Hours at District 36
Feeling a little dance music for New Year's Eve? Well, you'll have to wait until the early hours of New Year's day for this one. The one and only Steve Lawler brings his talents to District 36, one of the best dance clubs in the city, for an after hours event that you won't want to miss.

#10 Abe & Arthur's New Year's Eve 2012 at Abe & Arthur's
If you live in New York and still haven't been to Abe & Arthur's, this is the perfect opportunity to do so. The American Brasserie in the Meatpacking District serves up delicious plates and signature cocktails. On this night prepare to throw down plenty of cocktails and take in the beautiful aesthetics that make up this nightlife venue.
