If you haven't already heard, the recent amalgamation of dance music artists and fans in New York City better known as Electric Zoo
, just announced that the recent festival brought in 85,000 attendees from 102 countries and 51 states! As usual, we were expecting a big crowd to take over Randall's Island for the 3-day festival that included dance music notables such as David Guetta
, Armin van Buuren, Axwell and Kaskade
among many many others, but these numbers are an example of the impact that dance music has had stateside in the last five years. Looks like expanding the festival's format to three days really paid off for Electric Zoo, and they're already starting to gear up for next year's big event.
It may be a year away, but that doesn't mean the you can't start looking forward to what Electric Zoo 2012 has in store. The good folks behind the music festival are asking for your requests as they've provided an EZ 2012 Artist Wishlist where fans can request any artists that they'd like to see on the bill next year, as well as give feedback on the actual event. Electric Zoo has only been getting bigger and better, and efforts such as these are what keep it at the top of their game. Electric Zoo 2012 should be a force to be reckoned with.
