When you think of a DJ or producer, what are some of the first names that come to mind? If Tiësto isn’t one of them, then you must be living under a rock. World-renowned DJ-producer, Tiësto, possibly the biggest name in the dance music scene
, is gearing up to headline a three-week tour that will make its way to college campuses across the nation. The tour will feature 19 destinations within a three-week window, which is more than some full-length tours. The DJ juggernaut recently announced that he will be closing out his tour at Los Angeles’ Home Depot Stadium on October 8th. Tiësto plans on cementing himself into dance music history by making this performance the largest single headline DJ show in U.S history.
Tiësto’s “Club Life College Invasion” tour will be making a splash when it kicks off on September 15th. Eager college students
will forsake their books for a night of heart pumping beats and energy. Since the social network active community helped Tiësto rise to new heights, he’s offering two contests that will put a few lucky fans right in the DJ seat. The first allows two fans the chance to remix one of Tiësto’s own tracks and to open for him on the upcoming tour. The second is a social media contest that gives fans the chance to have Tiësto attend their house party.
Tiësto fans are not going to want to miss this one of a kind tour; especially the closing performance that is set to be record breaking. With such an achievement coming in the future, there’s no telling what kind of surprise Tiësto may have in store.
A single headline DJ show
of that magnitude is no easy task and has taken a lot of hard work. Tiësto has worked his way up to playing for over 1,000,000 fans in a single tour and to being named “The Greatest DJ of All Time.” Now, he has set his sights on yet another milestone. The October 8th show has a capacity of 26,000 people; a very large arena for even the biggest superstar. While, single headline shows are not rare for popular DJ’s, they are extremely rare in a venue of this size.
Can Tiësto pull it off? Either way this show will be one for the record books. So, if you’re in the L.A area you’re not going to want to miss it.
