Nightclub Firsts: Going Clubbing for the First Time

by DJ Hevan

Everyone anticipates their 21st birthday, or, the night of their 21st birthday, when they can head out and hit up the clubs and bars for the first time. It’s a rite of passage not to be missed! But there are a few important things to remember.

1. Dress nice. Don’t look like you’re going to church or a funeral, but don’t come in looking like you just rolled out of bed. Girls, lingerie belongs in the bedroom, so leave it there. Don’t come across as easy or a slob.

2. Don’t get too drunk. No one likes a noob puking in their club, and I seriously doubt you want to not remember your 21st birthday. Liquid courage is good in moderation.

3. Relax. You may be nervous since clubbing is something you couldn’t do before (legally). Remember, no one is going to bite your head off for being new at a club.

4. Have fun, socialize, and get a feel for the crowd. There’s no need to put any pressure on yourself. If you’re not having fun, try bar/club hopping.

5. Go out with friends. What’s a birthday celebration without friends? You’ll feel more at east if you’re not alone. Plus, someone will still like you after watching your bad dancing.

6. Google is your friend. Want a club that plays heavy metal or hip hop? Look for one! Google is your friend when it comes to finding fun places. If you’re having no luck, ask your older friends where they like to go.

Songs:

1. Ke$Ha - Tik Tok

2. Flo Rida Feat. Keisha  - Right Round

3. 50 Cent - In Da Club
