Aside from the music, fashion is the most talked about thing at the Grammy Awards and this year was no exception. As a guy, I know looking the part is key wherever I go, whether it’s to spin or not. Personally, I’m a jeans and T-shirt guy and some of my favorite brands are VitaminTHICK, Jeepney Clothing, and Brooklyn Industries. Usually I just rock a Boston Red Sox hat, but I do take style cues from the red carpet like so many other people do. So, I’ll talk about the best and worst Grammy fashion for guys this year.
The Best: Bruno Mars
Dapper is the key word when looking at this photo. He doesn’t look like he’s trying too hard, he still looks like himself, yet he’s channeling a bit of Frank Sinatra into his look.
The Best: Mumford and Sons
Best personal style of the night. Not too much, but just enough to set them apart. I wouldn’t rock the yellow trucker hat, but overall they look pull together.
The Not so good: Ricky Martin
Again, personal style is key, and I think it takes a lot to wear skinny metallic pants, but I think it was a little too much. From the waist up, he looks great.
The Bad: David Guetta
If your going to something like the Grammy’s don’t look like you just rolled out of bed and threw on what was closest to you. Put some effort into yourself before going to a big show.
Honorable Mention: Cee Lo Green’s performance
Feathers, a headpiece, and sunglasses? It only means one thing: that Cee Lo Green is a badass. Practicality aside, this rocked. I wouldn’t wear it, personally (I’m a DJ, I’d get too many odd looks) but in Cee Lo’s case, it was brilliant. Very Elton John.
