Simian Mobile Disco prepares for Ultra Week event
The first time we caught a live performance from Simian Mobile Disco, we were blown away by their light show, as well as their ability to make sounds come out of a giant box with wires coming out of everywhere. Their infectious dance anthems kept the crowd moving from the start, many sweaty masses leaving their set looking as if they'd been thrown into a pool. They've become a fixture at Winter Music Conference since 2008, and each year fans expect them to returns with an even bigger and louder show. This year they're back to Miami in March, but instead of playing during Winter Music Conference, their show takes place during Ultra week.
On Thursday, March 24th, Simian Mobile Disco returns to Miami to play Eve, formerly known as White Room. Although we've kept up with their work, we haven't caught a WMC performance of theirs since WMC 2008 when they played the legendary Downtown Riot party.
This year's event should definitely hold more in store, seeing as they've recently released a highly touted third studio album, Delicacies, as well as their new club night project titled, "Delicatessen." Whatever they play on this night is sure to be a treat for your ears. Tickets are currently on sale.
