There’s a place in Miami where eating the red meat is more of a religious experience than a meal. Once your fork sticks into that beef and the knife finishes the job, you'll be salivating from the moment you take the first bite. Once it’s over, you immediately start thinking of all the other places you’ve eaten in the past, and quickly decide this has made your top five. Only at Chop House Miami can you have an experience like this, but the best part is, that’s just one facet of this downtown restaurant that’s been drawing in big crowds lately.
Located at 3rd and Biscayne in downtown Miami right off of the Miami River, Chop House is already in a prime location in the city, always drawing in the business crowd from Brickell for their meetings and other locals who reside in the surrounding highrises like One Miami and MET1. If you’re looking to have a great meal any day of the week, or grab a drink at a bar whose atmosphere elicits nothing but sophistication, Chop House is this place.
When it comes to the venue at Chop House, we dare you to find something that doesn’t sound appealing. The prime cuts here are some of the best you’ll find anywhere! From New York strips to bone-in ribeyes, pick any and prepare to be amazed. They also offer a delectable seafood platter with king crab legs and whole lobsters. But if you’re stopping by for a quick drink, then it’s best to go with any one of their bar-friendly appetizers. The beef carpaccio is stellar, but the short rib and scallop sliders absolutely take the cake.
Ranked perennially among the North America’s Top 10 Steakhouses, Chop House also prides itself in its ability to turn into quite the nightlife destination for those socially inclined to drop a few more bucks at the bar. When we first stepped foot into the restaurant, naturally, the bar caught our attention right away, where we were stunned at the sight of rows upon rows of bottles ranging from premium whisky to top-notch cognac. One day out of the week draws one of the biggest crowds to Chop House and we made sure not to miss it.
Their Thursday night Ladies Night party featured good music that ranged from hip-hop to house remixes, and the ladies came flocking to this party (guys, ratio is definitely in your favor). Although there weren’t any featured specials at the bar, the vibe and mood of the party was one of the best we’ve seen in some time.
Although many may put Chop House on their list of “special occasion” restaurants, once you go for the first time, you’ll want to return for any occasion you can think of (or make up).
