To embrace the excitement of the much anticipated film release of “Brooklyn’s Finest,” one of New York City’s premiere nightclubs, Amnesia, will host its official release party, tonight.
In this thriller, starring Richard Gere, Don Cheadle, Ethan Hawke and Wesley Snipes, three Brooklyn cops leading immensely different lives find themselves working on the same massive drug operation. The big names tagged to the film are just an added bonus to the intriguing story it tells. Screenwriter Michael C. Martin’s noteworthy work captures the essence of Brooklyn, and as a former film student at Brooklyn College, Martin is quite familiar with the area, to say the least.
Martin will be the guest of honor for the event, appearing along with special invited guests. With such a star-studded cast, it will be interesting to see who else pops in to Amnesia in honor of “Brooklyn’s Finest.” In addition, Brooklyn’s very own Bobbie Grei will be performing live at Amnesia, delighting the crowd with her vocals.
This R-rated movie is bound to cause a lot of commotion in ticket sales, and on the dance floor Thursday night in typical Amnesia celebratory fashion. So come party it up, not only with Brooklyn’s finest, but all of NYC’s finest as well. This event, contrary to the venue's name, is not one you should forget about.
