It is the end of an era. Well, maybe.
Rumor has it that our favorite keg-stand-lauding and pirate-midget-hosted bar in New York City, Superdive, has been closed! A “No Enter” sign (actually “No Entre” because the sign was written in Spanish – curious much?) was found plastered to the door of this New York City hot spot. The sign warned patrons that the establishment had to be evicted because of unsafe conditions.
This all happens just a few weeks after Superdive announced its “Winter Hours,” which told patrons that it would only be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, thereby eliminating their now infamous Champagne Tuesdays.
We tried to call the venue to see what was up and got no answer, just a "mailbox full" message from their machine. No official word yet if these rumors are true, but let us keep our fingers crossed that this was all just a prank, or a drunkenly misplaced “Desalojo: No Entre!” (“Danger: Do Not Enter!”) sign. We here at Clubplanet are praying that our beloved Superdive hasn’t closed before its time.
