Top Rooftop Bars in Miami

If there’s one thing about Miami’s weather that’s a negative, it comes in the months of August and September, when the humidity is absolutely unbearable. However, once the sun goes down, the weather starts looking up, and then it’s truly time to have a drink, but instead of opting for the normal inside nightlife venue, there’s nothing better than a solid rooftop bar, where you can soak in the breeze and the view. Miami offers some of the best views imaginable, whether you’re in South Beach, downtown or even the Gables. We’ve made things a bit simpler for you and listed the top rooftop bars in Miami.

Voyage Ultra Lounge
66 SW 6 Street
Miami, FL 33130

Voyage Ultra Lounge is one of those venues in Miami that just seem to have it all. In a way it can be described as a lounge, a bar, and a nightclub, but when you put all of those together it’s more like a mega-club. However, what many people fail to realize is that their terrace is considered one of the coolest rooftop bars in Miami. They tend to have a weekly soiree every Wednesday, but you don’t have to wait until 10 p.m. to get into this place. They’re into the casual afternoon drink. So if there’s not much for you to do come Sunday, other than dread the following morning, Voyage Ultra Lounge has one of the best rooftop bars in Miami for a drink.

Club 50
485 Brickell Avenue
Miami, FL 33131

There’s something special about being 50 stories high up on a building. Well, we guess it’s only the view, but when the view is considered the most exclusive in the city, it’s that much more special. Located on the 50th floor of the Viceroy, Club 50 definitely can be considered as one of the premier rooftop bars in Miami. The Asian-inflected private pool located near the bar is the perfect accessory to the lounge. Once you make it into Club 50 you’ll definitely have the best view in the city, but first and foremost you have to actually make it inside. It’s got a tough door, so definitely make sure to bring the A-game, or be ready to be told to go home.

Gansevoort South
2399 Collins Avenue
Miami Beach, FL 33139

If you’re really looking to indulge in a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere, it doesn’t get much better than this. The Gansevoort South is one of the best hotels in all of South Beach, but many people fail to realize that their rooftop bar and beach club is out of this world. Located 18 stories above the ocean with a 110-foot long swimming pool, it’s typically considered an adults-only tropical playground. There’s nothing better than grabbing a cold drink on a hot day, all the while soaking in the view. If you’re looking to grab a drink at one of the best rooftop bars in Miami, than look no further than the Gansevoort South.

Townhouse Hotel Rooftop Terrace
150 20th Street
Miami Beach, FL 33139

Here’s another hidden gem that only the locals may know about. South Beach’s Townhouse Hotel’s rooftop terrace has to be one of the most relaxed settings you can imagine at South Beach. This is truly one of the best rooftop bars in Miami, and since it’s been recently renovated expect the place to pack out a little more often. Featuring king-size waterbeds paired with huge umbrellas for those looking to soak in the sun, the furniture is lush and reminiscent of an outdoor lounge. On Fridays and Saturday nights the volume’s turned up a little more for their weekly parties. The capacity here is only 250, giving it that intimate feel that’s always nice.

Spire Bar and Lounge
801 Collins Avenue
Miami Beach, FL 33139

If there’s one characteristic you had to pick as the most important when it comes to a great rooftop bar in Miami, it has to be the view. And other than Club 50, the Spire Bar and Lounge located atop The Hotel in South Beach, offers the best view. To the east you can see the cruise ships sail away, while to the west you can soak in the Miami skyline. The cocktails served up at this place are some of the best in the city, and they also offer some unreal tapas to go along with it. This is another hideout for socialites in the city, so if you’re looking to have a low-key night, this is the place. But you have to get in first.
