With its palm trees and upscale living, Phoenix isn’t exactly a scary place to be. But that doesn’t mean it lacks some of the best Halloween nightlife events and Halloween parties in the country. The city starts early with the Ghost Ball Halloween Block Party kicking off the week before the holiday hits, shutting down the entire block of Indian Plaza in Scottsdale and transforming the area into an All Hallow’s Eve celebration. This all-night Halloween party is sure to warm up those 21 and older for the even bigger Halloween nightlife events to come on Saturday, October 31.
The Halloween Masquerade Ball, featuring live performances, trip giveaways and costume contests, is always a favorite event on Halloween. Those who favor goth-style can check out Tranzylvania, held at the Bloodletting, and those who favor to dress for the always-hot Arizona weather can hit up the Scary Sexy Monster’s Ball at Six Lounge. No matter your style, there are plenty more Halloween nightclub events to keep everyone interested.
But if Halloween nightlife events aren’t your thing, the city’s also famous for its Halloween Spooktacular, held at the Downtown Library Courtyard each year, which offers festive food, drinks and entertainment. Also, ASU hosts GlendOberfest with carnival-style games, trick-or-treating, live entertainment and more. Trick-or-Treat and the Apache Junction Halloween Festival also make the mark for some of the best Halloween events in the city.
A final favorite is the Ghosts of Phoenix Tour. Tour guides take visitors through the historical Hotel San Carlos, which is known as the spot actress Leone Jensen took her life in 1928. It’s now considered one of the most haunted hotels in America and has a reputation for spooking every visitor who comes through.
