My House Finds Home on Hollywood Boulevard

My House Finds Home on Hollywood Boulevard

If you’ve ever found yourself watching MTV Cribs wishing you could be on the other side of the television, you may have just found your key. Nestled onto Hollywood Boulevard, My House is the newest celeb-candy nightclub that speaks to the old adage “there’s no place like home.” But don’t kick off your shoes quite yet. Just because My House is an actual house (right down to the kitchen sink –literally, its main bar is the kitchen), doesn’t mean it’s a sacrifice of your typical late-night style. In fact, My House has managed to raise the bar for bars to the next level.

Ornately decorated by Dodd Mitchell, one of the most sought-after interior designers in the country, My House boasts several rooms of custom made furniture that glisten in the dim glow beneath an array of countless chandeliers. Yet amidst the fact the furniture you’re sitting on probably cost a couple months worth of your own rent, My House maintains an at-home, comfortable and relaxed vibe. Even outside the club, those waiting in line can mingle in the house’s front yard rather than stare at the always-suffocating red velvet rope. Once inside, you can take a seat at a kitchen table you wouldn’t have enough guests for, kick back in the living room or even visit where all the magic happens.

Although you may not have servers in line when you crave a cocktail at home, My House’s are available at five fully-stocked bars. Keeping it parallel with the no-velvet rope feel, they may have the top buttons of their shirts undone or sport an untied tie. One thing’s for sure –after visiting this house, you’ll be looking for its maid recommendation as everything rests in perfect order thanks to an obvious attention to detail.

Other features that may make you consider remodeling your abode include an outdoor hot tub (with bathrobes for those who choose to take a dip), flat-screen TVs and a 15,000-pin art installation. And although its decor is contemporary down to the final piece of stainless steel and swivel chair, owner David Jukaden (Garden of Eden, Mood, Opera and Crimson) managed to include one old-fashioned favorite –freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Now, that feels like home.

So click your heels three times and hope there’s an awards show keeping the celebs out so you can get in. My House is your new home for LA nightlife and luxury.
