LA's Best Places to Dine and Dance

LA's Best Places to Dine and Dance

There are two things that a majority of nightlife goers enjoy, a good meal, followed by a good dance to digest (the drinks are pretty much a given). Thankfully nightlife entrepreneurs noticed this long ago and decided to put the two together, creating nightlife hybrids that give guests the chance to come in to dine, only to turn the venue into a nightlife hotspot with drinks and dancing. If you’ve never actually been to one of these places, we suggest heading to one soon. Luckily for you, Clubplanet has put together some of the best places to dine and dance in Los Angeles.

#7 Best Place to Dine and Dance in LA
h.wood
1738 North Orange
Los Angeles, CA 90028

If you really want to try something unique in the city, we recommend heading out to its newest nightlife venue, h.wood. But this isn’t your typical club/lounge, h.wood has much more to it. Wanna grab some lunch? Stop by, they’re open from lunchtime until party time. They’re menu, designed by Chef John Gladish, features casual and affordable meals that range from burgers and Paninis to steaks, The venue is highlighted by its décor and two floors of indoor and outdoor space. When the sun sets in the city, h.wood is at its best, offering up the intimate vibe that all of us need for a chill two-step and nice night out on the town, which is why it’s on our list of best places to dine and dance.

#6 Best Place to Dine and Dance in LA
Apple Lounge
665 N. Robertson Blvd.
West Hollywood, CA 90069

Here’s one place that doesn’t joke around when it comes to its dining and its nightlife. In the kitchen, Chef Bryan Ogden creates only the best when it comes to the cuisine, and serves up the wine to match as well. To him it’s all about focusing “around the food of each season,” which is why he gets all of his ingredients directly from farmers, ranchers and fishermen who he keeps close ties with. When it comes to dimming down the lights, the entertainment here is full force, as the venue brought in renown party host, Allison Melnick, to take care of that aspect. This place has the perfect balance of a restaurant and a lounge, putting it on our list of best places to dine and dance in Los Angeles.

#5 Best Place to Dine and Dance in LA
Boulevard 3
6523 Sunset Boulevard
Los Angeles, CA 90028

If you really want the sense of exclusivity in the city look no further than Boulevard 3. Built on the site of the former Hollywood Athletic Club, this is probably one of the only places in the city where you get a real sense of privacy on the highest level of the venue, their ultra exclusive balcony that is reserved for patrons who really want the A-list treatment. There you can overlook the entire ballroom, while enjoying gourmet food and a private bar for you and your posse. With a state of the art lighting system, gourmet food, A-list service and unparalleled entertainment, there’s no reason why Boulevard 3 should not be on our list as one of the best places to dine and dance in Los Angeles.

#4 Best Place to Dine and Dance in LA
Beso/Kiss Lounge
6350 Hollywood Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90028

When a nightlife hotspot is owned by one of the hottest ladies on television, it’s gotta be good. One thing you should definitely know off the bat, this place makes some serious Mexican infused dishes, after all, it does take after its owner. It’s best to start things off with a great meal here, we recommend their private party menus that give guests the choice of starters, appetizers, entrees and dessert. Wash that down with a cocktail (the raspberry gimlet is superb), and dance the night away once things settle down in the kitchen. Oh, and don’t be surprised if you run into a celeb or two, this place is definitely a hotspot, which is why its made our list as one of the best places to dine and dance in LA.

#3 Best Place to Dine and Dance in LA
Elevate
811 Wilshire Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90017

Just when Miami thought that it had some of the best ultra-lounges in the nation, Los Angeles fires back with Elevate. Now, although Elevate does not serve food, the Downtown Entertainment Group that created the venue also produced Takami Sushi and Robata Restaurant, located just across the hall. So in our books, it’s pretty much all in one. While at Takami you can dine on some of the best sushi rolls in the entire city (which are great before going out because you never get too, too full), just across the hall the party is bumping and waiting for everyone to burn off those rolls on the dance floor…sushi rolls that is. Located on the 21st floor of the penthouse, they offer up one of the best views of downtown you can possibly get.

#2 Best Place to Dine and Dance in LA
Bardot
1737 N. Vine St.
Los Angeles, CA 90028

Remember the Spider Club? Well that place is no more, so welcome in Bardot, one of the hottest nightlife venues in Los Angeles. This swanky establishment brings in a sexy crowd of artists and scenesters alike. It’s hard to believe that the menu at this place, created by Chef Jared Simons, offers up such amazing dishes at affordable prices, not to mention there’s more than just your average lounge assortment here. After the meal you can party the night away at the tucked away venue. Although it’s a part of Avalon Hollywood, it’s still hard to notice the narrow, camouflaged staircase that leads up to Bardot.

#1 Best Place to Dine and Dance in LA
Green Door
1429 Ivar Avenue
Los Angeles, CA 90028

Topping our list as the best place to dine and dance in LA is the one and only Green Door. This place offers up one of the best menus that any nightlife venue could offer, with plates ranging from oven roasted jidori chicken to sliced beef tenderloin. Although the prices may seem a little steep, they’re not at all! Considering the quality and quantity you get, it’s a bargain and a half. When it comes to drinks and dancing this place beats all others and it also attracts hordes of A-list celebrities. Labeled as “an extreme escape from modern Hollywood,” coming into Green Door is more like flashback into a 16th century French chateau, what it’s actually modeled after. The décor in the venue is like none other, featuring crystal chandeliers, love seats that you’ll sink into, antique furniture throughout the place and a Parisian-style outdoor covered patio. When you combine the aesthetics of the venue with the menu, there should be no questions asked.
