This past week was "The calm before the storm" as this coming week is going to be Fashion Week INSANITY!
Our most delicious nightlife party belonged to Steve Lewis' birthday bash at Greenhouse last Monday night. The nightclub was packed to the max with hot young girls all hoping to help toast the nightlife legend. Despite Steve's age, he has managed to stay relevant. When nightlife turned from print fliers handed out at Webster Hall shows to online blogs, he took notice and jumped in, staying a fixture of NYC nightlife for decades, truly a cause for celebration. The success of College Humor's newest reality show airing Sunday night on MTV has yet to be determined. The success of their party throwing capabilities? We give them a solid 10. Any party that puts all of Manhattan's media elites in a room to listen to Barry Diller toast a show about what happens when you let kids run a company is reason enough for us to brave the cold. Add in a Gossip Girl and open bar? We are begging for more! [College Humor Throws Wild Party]
From Mr. Pink Elephant to Cipriani's Bull, we wanted to know from our readers who the best nightlife mascot was. The answer was a unanimous decision: Mr. Pink, of course. We have had some heated commenters claiming the elephant is putting some bread in our pockets, to which we say, when you have photos coming in daily of a MEGA PINK ELEPHANT snow sledding and drinking on the job, how could we resist? Long Live the Pink!
This coming week is set to turn our stress meters off the chart, but we are confident that we won't miss out on a single party. Catch the rest of our party coverage and we'll see you next week!
