So there's this musician named Madonna. You might have heard of her. You might have also heard of her new album "Confessions on a Dance Floor." It's her return to dance and electronica, and it could only happen with the collaboration of one of the nation's top DJs: Tracy Young. How much does Madonna trust Tracy? When she got married to Guy Ritchie, guess who spun at the wedding.

Tracy's performed at virtually every big club worth performing at, she's worked with platoons of A-list talent, and her success has opened doors for other female DJs. If you're in New York on Friday, you can catch her at Spirit. If not, well, you'll have to settle for this quick Q&A.

Of all the talent you've worked with, which artist have you had the best connection with?

Tracy Young: I loved working with them all in very different ways. It's really difficult to just pick one because each artist is so talented in there own right. If I had to choose one I would have to say it is Madonna.

What's it like working with her?

It's been a life and career changing experience. She is somebody I have a great deal of respect for and have learned so much from our relationship. She is a genius.

As you're becoming a "name" in your own right, are you worried about the baggage that comes with celebrity-status?

I wouldn't call it baggage. Of course there are times when you don't feel like dealing with people but at the same time, these are the same people that keep me working and come to see me time and time again.

Best gig you ever performed at?

The past three years doing Genesis on New Year's Day at crobar has been an amazing experience. I have enjoyed producing the event and being on that side of things.

When you’re spinning, your biggest pet peeve is when someone from the crowd is...

When someone decides to try and carry on a conversation with me and forgets that I am spinning.

You have a great MySpace page. How has MySpace influenced your approach to marketing, networking, securing gigs, etc.?

I love My Space and I do use it for marketing and as another way to reach people. I have gotten work from it and have met lots of people in the industry however, it can be scary also...you never know who you are dealing with on the other end. Some of these people say they are somebody that they actually are not.

What’s the key to breaking into this business?

You are going to hear NO a lot more than you hear YES. You have to learn not to give up and keep doing what you love.

What are you working on now in the studio?

Rent, Paris Hilton and Stevie Nicks remixes. I am also writing a lot of original works.

What do you like to do when you’re not spinning?

Spend time with my girlfriend doing absolutely nothing at all.

Your desert island album?

Any Prince record...they are all brilliant.

What's next for you?

I am working on Danceculture 2 which I am very excited about and have been extremely inspired in the studio. Life is great for me right now!
