SUNDAY FUNDAY: Tally - My Reflection
A pure saccharine treat, “My Reflection” is modern dance pop at its best. Mixing future house production with broken beats, this could have easily been an Oliver Heldens track that was sent out for a pop topline. Surinamese newcomer Tally sparkles with a frothy yet well sung lyric and enough catchy hooks to ingrain this earworm into your head after one listen. Seriously, you will be singing that “eh eh eh eh” bit the rest of the day. While the effected male vocal is beyond cliché at this point, it actually works to make a rhythmic flow between the verses and chorus. “My Reflection” is obviously an independent and self-financed project, yet there is something so special about this song that makes it shine over most of the pap (oops, pop) that gets shoved down our throats on the radio. Enjoy this reflection for a wonderful Sunday Funday.
