SUNDAY FUNDAY: Thanks - Livin My Life - [COPENHAGEN]
It looks like we are finally ushering in a new millennium. After a few years of DJs and dance artists covering hits from the '90s, THANKS (former members of Alphabeat - Anders B and Anders SG) fast forward to 2004 for a synth pop update of Jill Scott’s uplifting R&B pop hit “Golden.” With the chorus and much of the original verses fully intact, we are unsure why the song is retitled. We could be critical and say that it isn’t as groundbreaking as their previous song “Dizzy,” but the midtempo beats will get your head nodding and the familiar lyrics are perfect for a Sunday Funday sing-along.
