Ever felt that something was missing in your life? Check your closet. If it’s full of bland ensembles, then take a look at these 10 accessories you can’t possibly live without. They may just give your entire outfit (and existence) more meaning.

1. Cell phone pouch

Significantly cooler than the traditional yuppie phone clip, the pouch comes in a variety of colors and styles, and is fit for just about any phone and its owner. In addition, Alternative Outfitters’ phone pouches are leather free, vegan free and animal-cruelty free.

2. Loud, obnoxious belt buckle

With Texas lending itself to a majority of trends nowadays, what better time to indulge in a belt buckle bigger than your face? Much like the essentially functionless belt that is supposedly holding up your pants, the buckle is also just there to look good. And that’s where the fun begins. Urban Outfitters, located nationwide, carries a scrolling LED belt buckle that can be used to communicate everything from stock quotes to lewd pick-up lines.

3. The Yazzy bag

Sick and tired of going on an archaeological expedition every time you need to find a quarter? The Yazzy bag is compact enough to fit in the palm of your hand (and stay there!), yet big enough to stash your favorite maxed-out credit cards, I.D’s, and napkins with important phone numbers scrawled in lipstick. Best of all, it’s ideal for holding all the cash you’re going to save instead of buying a $50 Coach wristlet. You can find one at Ricky’s, located in both Miami and New York.

4. The record bag

If you’ve got more junk than any mini-bag could possibly handle, Vinyl Fetish in L.A. has got you covered. They carry a wide array of record bags so you can transport your rare new-wave imports in style.

5. Wicked shades

We all remember the infamous Rayban commercial featuring the vampiric eyewear consumers. A superb pair of sunglasses is essential whether you’re a blood-sucking freak or just a 9-5 working stiff. SEE Eyewear has all the hippest shades you could ever ask for, with locations in Miami, Boston, Chicago, and more.

6. An artsy frock

Nobody enjoys catching a glimpse of their fashion doppelganger across the street decked out in the same threads. Making an outfit distinctly yours takes a bit of effort, but is well worth it. Break free from the ordinary with a hand-sewn dress made from vintage fabrics from the Show Pony in L.A. The Pony is known for its art shows, and as a special bonus you may even catch a glimpse of starlet customer Rachel Bilson.

7. The condom wallet

Remember that top-secret little pocket in your wallet where you stashed a condom in your sophomore year of college? Yeah, you might want to check on that. You also might want to invest in a condom wallet from Babeland. It comes pre-stocked with 2 condoms as well as a scorecard and a spot to display your flavor of the week.

What is it about decades past that makes them oh so much more alluring than present day? Perhaps it was the classy dames; perhaps it was the lack of aggravating electronic communication, but who can honestly say they haven’t fancied themselves in their very own smoking jacket circa 1952? Even if you haven’t, now you know where to find one: Silver Moon in Chicago has an extensive stock of authentic vintage clothing, accessories, and housewares.

9. Totally over-the-top piece of jewelry

Think of it as the icing on your cake, the guacamole on your burrito. The right piece of jewelry can pull together an outfit like few things can. Forget the demure. Drop the dainty. If you’re into cherries, how about a giant plastic chain featuring your fruit of choice? Girl Props in NYC can help you out with a wide variety of gaudy accessories ranging from internet lingo necklaces to hot dog earrings to fruity wrist goodies.

10. Foot Petals

Ah, the pain of wearing those highly impressive yet horrendously restrictive shoes. Foot Petals shoe cushions can help prevent those unsightly blisters, because you'll probably never learn, will you? Hobble your way over to the local Target to treat your feet and relieve your wallet.
