Drink and see a movie

I love the idea of being able to drink and eat at the Alamo Drafthouse while you watch a movie. Too bad i forget the whole movie ha. I like this place, though this particular one "the village" isn't as nice as the Drafthouse in Central Austin.

Pretty cool place.

I went to go see a band at Speakeasy this weekend. I liked the atmosphere, and the music was great. Its a great place to watch live music, but not so much somewhere I'de want to go other whys.

Apple Bar

this place is ok, but its not a place ill go again. i guess apple bar could be fun for some people just not me. i like to have fun and party, but i did not get much of that at apple bar, plus the crowd really isnt my type unfortunately.

Star Bar

nice place but a bit expensive

i love the atmosphere at Star bar, but the drinks are a tab bit pricey (but very good). Star bar has the mix of a club and a lounge, and is def. a place you should try out if you are in the austin area. hey if its not your thing there are a ton of other places to go in walking distance.

i love this placE

i love getting drinks & then heading up to malaia's dance floor. They hAve the best dance floor, its up stairs & see through, so the people on the bottom floor can see you dancing. overall malaia is my number one place to go dance on dirty 6th

pub atmosphere

the is a fun place to go for happy hour. The tavern is kind of like an irish pub mixed in a sports bar. The tavern is fun, so are the people, but after 10 its time to go hit up someplace a little more upbeat. Thats just my personal opinion. I really enjoyed the Taven overall

i liked Light Bar except for the fact its 18 and up. I prefer bars that i kno everyone's of age. although, the bartenders and staff @ light bar are really nice so thats a plus.

ive been to mother egans several times... overall i must say i like the place. i especially like the nights that they feature i live band. I like to go to mother egans on Monday nights, sip on some (@$* , see the band & talk to friends. Def. a must if your looking for a place that has the true atmosphere of austin.

Treasure Island Pirate Bar

good & bad

treasure island is somewhere i usually tend to skip. The plus is that there is always a large crowd in this bar, even if every other bar is dead. Though, the place isn't for everyone. take preppy frat guys for instant, you probably wont fit in at treasure island. Though for girls, you can usually score a free drink from the door guys, that's honestly the only reason i tried this bar out.

great place to go out and just have a great time. have a few drinks then go do some karaoke, come on everyones a great singer after a few drinks, so common interest is a great place to go and hang out with some good friends.

Esters is more of the type of place one goes to see a live show thats very colorful, and def true to the "keeping austin weird" phrase. if your new to austin and want try something different then the usual bar scene, then esters follies is def. a must to try.

Nice

I worked a promo at sugars for the 100 most influential bartenders in Austin! Although it was a private party, I just wanted to say that sugars is actually a nice place and if that is your type of bat you should def come check it out! The staff is attractive and friendly and if your looking to party sugars is a hit!

Love this place!

Grub has a fun and upbeat atmosphere! Def a club atmosphere! I love the setup at gruv! The drinks might be a little steep but the overall appeal of gruv is worth it. If you want bottle service the staff and bartenders are excellent and you will have a great night with great people!

great after hours

i like that shenanagins is open all night, Austin doesn't have a lot of after hours clubs to go too. So if your leaving the clubs at 2 and still in the mood to party you should give shenanagins a try.

Ok bar.

Mulligans is more of a sports bar. A lot of the people there seem to be usuals. It was a fun place though, they have cheap drinks and pool tables. I went to mulligans only for a little while and played a game of pool, not sure if I will go back, not that its bad, its just not the atmosphere I usually like.

it was ok

Went to red 7 the other day to see a concert. As far as the music it was a nice place to kick back and see some live bands, but the bar itself wasn't that great. This place is def more of a dive bar, not much to it, the drinks are cheap though so thats a plus. I had fun though anyways

Ive never been to Paradox but decided to try it out the other night, to my suprise I really liked it. They had good music and a great atmosphere. The drink prices were about average. Paradox was a nice place to go try out!

Love the place

nice enjoyable atmosphere and BD Rileys! You can have a drink chat with friends! this is more of a place to enjoy for happy hour before you hit up the town that night! The prices at BD Rileys were reasonable and the staff was friendly and helpful! i will def keep BD Rileys Irish Pub in mind next time I want to go out for a happy hour!

I went to club carnival, and I guess I will say it does have cheap drinks and a large gathering, but it is much different then the clubs I usually go too. Its more of a country tejano club, so if you like that then club carnival is def. the place to be.

A most try when your in Houston

if you haven't been to Last Concert Cafe you definentaly should! Wednesday is the best day to go! You will get a live concert and dancers that are very entertaining! Come early and enjoy the great food which is a must try! Then as the night comes enjoy the great people, have some drinks, dance and def go talk to Mamma ;)! See ya at last concert very soon!!!!!

relaxing and great people

I went to Red Door Lounge for the first time this past Friday and absolutely loved it! From the outside it doesn't look like anything spectacular, but once you walk in it turns into a great bar! I loved the upstairs outdoor patio, it was a great place to relax and sip on done mojitos while talking to friends! The drinks are average price and the staff is great! I will definentaly be going back to Red Door very soon!!!!

I absolutely love this place!

Great people and great atmosphere! After a long day on Lake Travis Carlos n charlies is def the place to go! The food is great, the drinks are great, and the people are great! You will enjoy a nice drink looking out at the lake while socializing with a great and fun crowd!

Relaxed and Unique

I went to hilltop tavern the other night for the first time and absolutely loved it. The drinks were reasonable and delicious! Additionally, the food was great! Hilltop Tavern is a nice place to go for happy hour, have a few drinks and some great food, and then go hit up the town!

this was a unique experience, you have an aquarium for the dance floor at Kao! It was very elegant, although the drink prices were a little steep! It's def. a nicer crowd, remember you must dress nice if you plan to get in. All and all I had a fun time at Kao, and enjoyed the music and the atmosphere.

I went to Canvas last night and it was amazing. The people were great, the drink prices were fair! I had never been to Canvas in all the time I've live in Austin, but I can def. say I will go back very soon!

Thursday nights!

I went to Shakespears last Thursday and I loved it. They have excellent drink specials (such as the 5$ pitcher of your choice of well drinks)! The crowd is great, the bartenders are nice and work fast! I will def. be going back again this week!

Love Maggie Maes

I went to Maggie Maes on Friday and absolutely loved it! The bar is huge! They have a lot of room downstairs for dancing and socializing, and then up stairs theres a huge patio section to chill on! Theres even a large screen tv to watch the games on! The music is great, the drinks are well made, and overall I had an awesome time!

Loved Union Park

Saturday nightt I went to Union Parkand it was amazing. In Austin, Union Park had a hot crowd and it was a real wild, fun time, yet at the same time had an upstairs patio that was chill and relaxing. The atmosphere was nice and the music was really hot! My friends and I would definitely go back to Union Park).

We had bottle service here last week, I love this place! Great atmosphere, bartenders are great! Very exotic, and for the guys theres female dancers... who knows maybe the ladies like that too! Overall great place with great staff!

Not a big fan...

I went here because its a block from where I live, but the atmosphere was not me! It's more of a biker bar, so I was a little out of place! Though from what I hear if you fit with this type of crowd hole in the wall is the perfect place to go chill, usually has a live band!
