Thanks to all 743 of you who came out and packed the house for our fab grand opening, despite the nasty weather. For those who couldn't make it, the music was tight, the crowd gorgeous and vibe unlike any this city has seen recently on a Friday night. In short, the Essence of Rio at Eugene is sure to be THE Manhattan party to be seen at this Spring!
This week, we present a performer from Moscow, Russia that has appeared regularly on the David Letterman Show, in addition to Broadway in Circus Diva and the opening ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. At 1:00am, the sensational Anna Jack (pictured to the right) will completely mesmerize the crowd with her audio/visual show.
We have booked monthly resident DJs for the main floor: Eddie Baez (first Friday of the month), Joe Black (2nd Friday), Sheldon Romero (3rd Friday) and Marc Anthony (4th Friday).
This week, Sheldon takes his turn behind the decks to play pulsating house & sexy vocals. Sheldon is a former resident DJ at spots ranging from megaclubs like Sound Factory and Exit to mid-sized venues as Saci, who can work the crowd to a fever pitch. Opening duties from 10pm-1am belong to Long Island's own Joey Jammz. If hip-hop is more your speed, you can catch Dre in the Green Room.
The party starts at 10pm, so try to make it early, as we have an OPEN BAR from 10pm-11pm.
All partiers on the Clubplanet guestlist enjoy an admission of $15 before 1am, $20 from 1am-3am. Regular admission is $25. Doors will open promptly at 10pm.
