This week, coming off the sensational performance by Laleh, the Essence of Rio party at Float welcomes 2 big-name performances, both of which have had Top 10 Billboard Dance Chart Hits in 2003!
At 1am on the main floor, the female supergroup known as ARIA perform the megahit "Ti Amo" that's been all over the radio the past few months, and hit #7 on Billboard in February! Those who went to our Thanksgiving Eve Extravaganza at Float remember how intense the atmosphere, with the dancefloor packed and people leaning over the VIP balcony to catch a glimpse.
Then at 2:15am, we have a recently-booked performance that came together the last few days, as the group Cooler Kids picked Float as its NYC stop on their US tour. Their song "All Around the World," produced by Hex Hector and released by Dreamworks is currently #9 on Billboard Dance, and I can personally attest that their performance is sensational!
What about music? Behind the decks on the main floor, we have superstar DJ Sheldon Romero - resident of the new Sound Factory afterhours party - spinning intense, sexy house music from 1:15am till everyone goes home! Opening set DJ to be announced. On the 2nd floor, the notorious duo of Davey B & Dre play hip-hop & classics all night, while on the 3rd floor Super DJ Jay Dee mixes it up (a little bit of everything) and creates an entirely different vibe. And for those who get there early, we have a vodka OPEN BAR from 10-11pm.
All partiers on the Clubplanet guestlist enjoy an admission of $15 before 1am, $20 from 1am-3am. Regular admission is $25. Doors will open promptly at 10pm.
