Last Friday, on a night where the low reached 12 degrees and the Metropolitain area got 6-9 inches of snow, the Essence Of Rio party at Float was slammed. This is thanks to a formula that has worked so well: great music + beautiful crowd + 3 floors + free booze + dancers, drummer & top-notch live performance = one phenomenal weekly party!
This Friday is Valentine's Day. If your intent is to block this fact from your consciousness, you've come to the right place. Performing this week is local club legend Anthony LeMont, who's rocked huge venues including Tunnel, Exit, Sound Factory & Palladium. He'll be doing his hit "Movin' Out," as well as his new track "Gotta Let Me Go, Can't Stop Now, Can't Stop Dancing" along with Ava & Estelle Extravaganza.
Behind the decks on the mainfloor, guest DJ Sebastian (resident of Club Rain, Las Vegas) will open for our resident house/vocals DJ, superstar Sheldon Romero. On stage, and in the cages, are the lovely Rio dancers, with David whacking the drums. On the 2nd floor, the notorious duo of Davey B & Dre play hip-hop & classics all night, while on the 3rd floor we have all-access karaoke.
Finally, in honor of Fashion Week, we'll be having a Fur & Mink fashion show on the main stage, sponsored by local designers & retailers. PETA employees, come at your own risk! Try to get there early, we have a full OPEN BAR from 10pm-11pm.
Special for ladies this week only: FREE before 11pm on the Clubplanet guestlist. Afterwards, all partiers on the Clubplanet guestlist enjoy an admission of $15 before 1am, $20 from 1am-3am. Regular admission is $25. Doors will open promptly at 10pm.
