Mr.
The pleasant nightclub ambience of the Vogue is long gone. Like other jaded establishments, the Vogue now tends to treat customers as intruders rather than guests. The service ranges from indifferent to unfriendly. The managerial/security staff is gratuitously insolent. The club still attracts good bands occasionally, but they sell to a standing room only crowd on those nights; and this results in access to the upper stairway exits being blocked by elbow to elbow balcony mobs. If you want to see your favorite band at the Vogue, go; but don’t sit upstairs -- and expect to be jostled and disrespected more than once during your evening.
