The Owner Is Abusive
The Green Spot Pub in Mt. Pleasant, MI (48858) is NOT a decent or friendly place if you enjoy playing Club KENO. The employees will treat you as though you are interrupting them and that you are some kind of an imposition to them. I play KENO often. The employees will leave you standing at the bar... waiting and waiting for them to run your bet slip.
Two nights ago (January 26) I lost $1,140. because an employee just looked at me while "gabbing" with the owner and some "chums" as the clock ran out on me for the draw on my numbers. Their "do-it-yourself" KENO machine wasn't working! I had no choice but to have them use their machine behind the counter. When she felt like it, she came over to help me. By then the clock ran out while a new draw of numbers came in. My remaining bet slips ended up on the other side of the clock, costing me $1,140. ...but I said nothing about it and "took my lumps."
Then, today I was told by a Green Spot employee that she wasn't going to "do my bet slips" because it is a busy lunch day. Their do-it-yourself machine was broken. That's when I left my drink on the table and walked out and went elsewhere.
Tonight (January 28) I gave it one more try just to see if their rotten treatment toward me was just a fluke. It is no fluke. I was told that my tickets could not be put through their machine because "customers" want drinks (which I was drinking one of those drinks). It is as though there was only employee in the entire bar! I asked her if she was the only one working. She said no, and then rudely yelled across the bar in a demeaning tone to get another employee to watch the bar while she ran my bet slips. She ran my tickets and then SLAMMED them on the bar counter and walked away.
The terrible behavior of the employees at the Green Spot is no fluke. It is real and they mean to treat people that way all because they have to wait on you if you play KENO there. Their rotten attitude is no accident. I called the owner on February 1, to inform him of the abusive behavior of his employees. He cut me off and rudely defended their behavior while negatively complaining to me about how the State of Michigan reduced Club KENO pay percentages from 7% to 4% and that he wants Club KENO out of his establishment.

Today (February 11, 2010) I walked into the Green Spot to buy a $5.00 Club KENO ticket. I used the Do-it-yourself machine. While standing there watching the numbers come in, the owner approached me, asking if I am the one who called him on the phone and complained about his establishment. I told him I was.
He immediately told me to leave his building and never to walk inside his building again. He was loud, rude, and he even called me an a$$hole. He told me that he read my review on this website. He told me that if I didn't leave he would call the cops and have me removed. Hmmmm.
He was pissed off at me for writing the previous review pertaining to the way him and his employees treated me. Oh well! I call it as I see it. My review is accurate and 100% truthful.
He also went on to explain that he has owned his business for 39 years and that he is a good business owner. Hmmmm. I told him he is a lousy business owner... and that he is an a$$hole, too.
Meanwhile, I went to another business in town where I am absolutely welcome! I play Club KENO there, I purchase food and drinks there and they like me a lot! I have no problems at all. The owner of the Green Spot has chosen to be an abusive, arrogant ASS.
I hope the owner likes my follow-up review better.

Really? Who takes their family and children to a bar? It's a bar and they serve alcohol AND food there. Hence, Club KENO for those who enjoy playing Club KENO at a BAR.
Bars in Michigan have Club KENO in them as a personal choice by the owner. Mentioning the Soaring Eagle with regard to the Green Spot and playing Club KENO is ridiculous. The owner of the Green Spot hates Club KENO ...and because he does... he has chosen to single me out and treat me in an abusive manner, including banning me from his building because now he doesn’t like the accurate review of his behavior that I wrote. My review stands and it is absolutely accurate.
The owner of the Green Spot IS an ASS. He validated that today when he called me an a$$hole and kicked me out of his building. Too bad he chooses and supports abusive behavior toward those who simply enjoy playing Club KENO (as is fully and fairly disclosed in my review of the Green Spot Pub in Mt. Pleasant, MI).
By the way, the Michigan State Lottery office is fully aware of the abusive behavior toward me by the owner of the Green Spot Pub in Mt. Pleasant, MI regarding their Club KENO game and customer relations.
