My wife and I just moved to Lindstrom in December and we quickly found Al's as our favorite bar. The people are always welcoming towards us and Joel is one of the best bartenders I have ever came across. He can do it all. He can do more as a solo bartender than most bars, who have 3-4 staffers, can do. He can not make a bad burger. My beer is always full, and the service is awesome. When you go there, try the "Hotty" hands down the best burger in eastern Minnesota.!!!!!!!

Crank Bartender
I am the said cranky bartender. An interesting review from 'lovethehaters'.

Al's has 29 single malt scotches (more or less) a top rail of boozes that stuns even the most sophisticated of pallets. Seat capacity is 53. We have a huge list of regulars who love the place to death. Usually they are not too clicky. But hey, if you had a place like this to go to, you might be protective too.

The burgers and bar food are top notch !!.

Seasonal beers, imports and the standard domestics. Currently Octoberfests and fall beers listed.

Worked hard to get listed at beer advocate.com which is the penultimate sight for beer bars.

Thanks, Joel (Cranky Bartender)

If you're looking for a place that has a wide variety of liquor and beer this is it, however , be aware that most of the time it's difficult to get a bar stool due to the locals. The space is very limited and the bartender,Joel, tends to get cranky if it's too busy. I've been there a few times and it has seemed to be a pretty "clicky" bar and the locals tend to not be very friendly to outsiders.
