Temple Bar, The - The Temple Bar, named after Dublin's oldest city precinct, opened in March of 1999. Situated in downtown Stamford's thriving city district, this unique Irish pub was immediately embraced by diehard Irishmen, local corporations, as well as social seekers throughout Fairfield and Westchester Counties. With it's bi-level Celtic-meets-Gothic interior, this 10,000 square foot dining and gathering spot offers a genuine pub atmosphere with an authentic Irish menu, beer, wine and spirits, and Temple's signature live entertainment including Irish folk, jazz and acoustic music. The furniture and fittings have been carefully selected from around the world. With the majority coming from Ireland, England and France. Each piece has its own story-one of the bars came from a 16th century church in Central France and the signature iron arches once decorated a Victorian estate near London.
