Privilege Los Angeles, Venue Description

Privilege -

Baroque chandeliers hang above the dance floor while black lace and red velvet curtains hang from the walls. Privilege has a Moulin Rouge look that compliments the affluent and naughty Hollywood players and wannabes that pack inside. Saturdays are the club’s biggest nights where the flashy party kids wait in line for as long as two hours and celebrity sightings are at their peak. You might spot Cameron Diaz or Vince Vaughn here, but you have to spend like a movie star to party with movie stars—the cover is usually $20 and the drinks are some of the priciest on Sunset. Try to get on a guest list and get here early.

Horrible club! Lied about free guest lists! DO NOT COME HERE!
AFter paying $20 for parking and waiting 55 minutes since we were told to arrive at 10pm to get in free, they finally charged us $20 each at the door (and not that i'm saying pretty girls should get in free- but yes they pay too). Supposedly if we were on a promoter's guest list, we would get in free, but would have to wait in line. NO! WE WAITED IN LINE FOR AN HOUR AND THEN STILL HAD TO PAY. I didn't, but my friends did and they said that they wouldn't go back. It was not a fun place.

NO reason for a negative review
ok, so I've read most of the reviews . . . why are you guys soooo negative? I live in West Hollywood. I've been to Area, Mood, LAX, Winstons, Sugar, Opera, Forbidden City, Basque, etc. Privilege is the ONLY place I'd take people from out of town for a good time because I know the crowd will be diverse and the music will be good. Yes, I know the bouncers can be anal at times, but is there really a good club in Hollywood where bouncers aren't anal or where you can actually sit at a table without paying (unless you are a hot girl, of course)? All I'm saying is that for a Hollywood club, this is probably the club where you will find good music and a good crowd. I think most of the people writing the negative reviews are just unfamiliar with the Hollywood clubs . . . otherwise, they'd be giving this club great reviews in comparison to the others.

privilege sucks
I hated this place. The music was terrible... I just don't see what all they hype is about. I guess celebrity sitings actually matter to some people... not me.
