lots of room and variety
if you get sick of a song you can always move to the next room. each room has it's own bar. however, the place does get crowded on weekends!

Blacks and minorities stay away, if you are able to get in be aware.
If you are black this is not the place for you. I am a black man, with long locks. I arrived early; I know a few of the promoters so I was added to the so-called overrated guest list. I was allowed in but when the party picked up I was asked to leave by a bouncer. He accused me of harassing the ladies in the club. I asked how is this possible if I was accompanied by ladies, his response was," he was told by his manager I was harassing women in the club". He asked me to leave the premises; when I refused because I thought he was joking, he called his other thugs to escort me out. The others didn't know the reason I was asked to leave, but boy were they happy to throw me out and embarrass me in public. After I was outside the thugs made it clear that I was want not welcomed there. A few minutes later, they escorted British tourist another black guy out of the club. They accused him off tipping over a table, he also thought they were joking, but sure enough they were making up any excuses to get the blacks out.

I think it deplorable and despicable to see ordinary people been treated like dogs because they are not part of the elite or the right color. This club and others need to be boycotted not just for the way they treat blacks and minorities, but the way they treat men in general.

Men and minorities should organize and stop going to these clubs for a month, to remind them that we work just as hard as women. If they expect us to spend money in their establishments, they should treat us equally and show us some dignity, because they aren’t doing us a favor, we are doing them a favor by choosing there establishment, which helps them stay in business.

Blacks and minorities stay away, if you are able to get in be aware.

There's a bit of a boys' club feeling about the posh space. A glass-bead chandelier lights up the dramatic main room, which is accented by dark, polished wood on all sides and sprawling banquette seating. At the back, a pyramid-like staircase leads to a soundproof, glassed-in, second-floor lounge overlooking the vaulted main room. Marquee, designed with high-class entertaining in mind, has small touches that elevate it over other lounges, like drawers tucked underneath banquettes for personal storage. However, once the evening heats up, nobody seems to notice the subtleties; instead, patrons skip straight to the bar for strong top-shelf (@$* and then off to an impromptu--but fully legal--dance floor sandwiched between banquettes. Show up with fashionable friends or you will not get in.

No wonder they've lasted so long
I just transferred to NYU from USC and have made the rounds to every single new/hot club...Greenhouse, Citrine, Kiss & Fly, Cain, Mansion (AND) M2, Pink, etc. etc. I finally made it to Marquee this weekend for a friend's b-day and was pleasantly surprised. Tons of hot euros downstairs (if you're into house music- their Fri party is way better than Pinks) and the upstairs was awesome!! It was a little over-crowded but my girls knew one of their promoters so we sat on the back of a banquette and sipped free drinks all night long! Compared to the "new/hot" clubs I've been to I have to say I prefer Marquee! Better music, better decor, more mature crowd (I'm 23 and I swear I was the OLDEST person at Citrine the night I went). Anyway, I can see why they've been around so long! Great club.

Good old Marquee is still the hottest place in the city
I've been desperately looking for the new hot spot to hang out in the city on Friday nights, and none of my attempts was successfull. I walk in and i walk out lol. Same thing happened last night. Pretty much I always end up at Marquee or M2 (former Mansion) those are the places to be at. Never had any door drama at Maquee so I'm not sure what people are talking about on here. Great music, good-looking people. Marquee is still a place to be at!!!!
