40/40 Club, Flatiron

havent been to the club yet, but have heard good review. I am thinking about coming there to celebrate my 40th birthday next month (12/30).

This place is a total dump. First of all, you can ignore the so called dress code. The place was full of people in sneakers, jerseys and hats. The food was awful and way overpriced. The waiter we had at our "reserved" booth was a complete idiot and a jerk. For example, I ordered a Miller Lite and he returned 20 minutes later with my friends drink, told me "We don't have Miller Lite" and walked away without asking me if I wanted anything else. Finally, they ran my credit card THREE TIMES, so I have to deal with that. I will never go there again and I suggest that you stay away from it. It is nothing like the way it is promoted..

I was not impressed with this club. There were only 3 stalls in the upstairs bathroom (and it was unisex). There wasn't any soap or paper towels in the bathroom. They pulled out folding chairs for the VIP table. The servers were inattentive. I could not listen to Chris Brown and my sister was told not to stay away from the DJ for requesting his song. It is a great bar/restaurant but as a club it is lacking the "wow" factor. The only highlight was the food; the chicken and the calamari were delicious.

i went to 4040 last night (august 29,2009) it was easy to get in and it was only 10 dollars and from what i hear free on fridays..the people at the front are very nice....once inside its like wtf..a whole lot of old and fat people and also full of black people(i think me and my 3 friends were the only spanish young and hot people there) their drinks are average price($14+)but WATERED DOWN!! seriously dont waste your time and money. the employes that work inside are super rude and its sad beacuse they are spanish and/oor black and as a latino myself i was dissapointed...their drinks are nasty and watered down and all they play is rhianna jayz and beyonce(ALL NIGHT) and idk why people talk so much about the decor...its pretty basic and not chic..the floating chairs are corny like a big ass rope holing the chair and the couches on the stairs dont look as amazing as they sound......jus save your time

Rude, annoying employees. WAAY OVERPRICED! Drinks are horrible and watered down. Nowhere to sit, crowded, and pushy. VIP rooms are ridiculously priced, same with tables. They tried to tell us we couldn't have our coats back to keep us there buying alcohol. The single WORST club I've ever been to. In New York, you're better off at the dive bars in the village near 3rd. We saw celebrities, and had a ball the night before only to be let down by Jay Z the next night. Will NEVER spend another dollar at 40/40. By the way... they DO have a cover, fxck what you heard!
