Allen Street (or The Old Pink), Buffalo

Today I'm am going down to city hall cout to file for reimusement of my medical bills FROM the bouncer (Kevin) dragging me by my neck (backwards) whilst standing and talking to friends...and threw me out the door on to the pavement (7 steps down) and breaking my ribs and giving me a concusion.

By the way I am 48 an architecture 5'4" and 115lbs.

Thats what the pink in known for, that and flooding bathrooms, and the biggest drug den on Allen Street.

By the way the reason the steak sandwich is sooo "good" is they marinate it for weeks on end...thats why it is so tender. hhhahhahaaa

Where to start about the Pink....I have been going for about 20 years, there are few places in the world as comfortable. The atmosphere is dark, the people are fantastic, the music cannot be beat, cheap, strong drinks and an unreal steak sandwich. I now live away from Buffalo and now when I come home for holidays with my wife we make a point to hit the Pink, bc. I know it will be a reunion of sorts, especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas. I see the same people that were there 15 years ago, there is something very comforting in that.

DON'T GO THERE!!!! ITS A VIOLENT PLACE WHERE IF THE BARTENDER DREW-OR-JAMIE ARE WORKING AND DON'T LIKE YOU YOUR OUT...AND NOT IN A NICE WAY, IF YOU 'PROKE' THEM, BY ASKING "WHY???" YOU WILL BE BEATEN UP,DRAGGED OUT AND THROWN ON THE PAVEMENT...NOT NESSESARILY IN THAT ORDER!!

MY FRIEND HAS BROKEN BONES FROM BEING IN THERE AND HE IS A REGULAR!!!

MY FRIEND MARY MCMULLEN WAS MURDERED IN HER HOME AFTER SPENDING AN AFTERNOON THERE...(SOMEBODY FOLLOWED HER OUT AND PUSHED HER DOWN THE STAIRS OF HER HOME.

This is the place you love to hate. Dark, dirty,smelly and fun. Attracts everyone from the city; usually the bikers, college students, hippies, artists, punks, drunks, usually the frat types don't bother to come in, but it's a laugh when they do. Great atmosphere, great music. Can be very crowded on the weekend, especially after 1 AM. Drinks are relatively cheap (compared to the clubs on Chippewa)if you can find your way through the maze of sweaty pieces of meat. Great place to go to get off the beaten path an/or to find that fling for the night. Just a great dive bar to get trashed at, always a good night there. One more great thing: you have an hour before Jim's Steakout closes at 5, which is right on the corner of Allen & Elmwood.
