Santa Fe Cafe - Let’s see…what would a southwestern-themed bar and restaurant located in the shadow of the giant University of Maryland be like? If you’re picturing hot wings, quesadillas, tequila shooters and extremely attentive waitresses, you’d be not too far off. But recently, the Fe has taken steps to reclaim its status as a destination in its own right, not just as DC’s stepsister. They have brought in DJ’s on the weekend nights and erected a stage to feature local bands. Predictable, Tuesday’s dollar beer night is mobbed and as the weather warms, the outside deck is too.
