Bear's Place - Nothing immediately remarkable, but a nice place for a drink and some food. A dive-like decor and a mix of live rock and comics in the back room. The servers have personality, and they serve a good range of beers.

Hung out at Bear's about thirty years ago on an early trip to the US when my old friend was studying at IU. The place made a huge impression on me as a young man from England: an immediate immersion in American student life. Looking at the website now - especially the menus - it doesn't look that much different, which must be good. I'd like to import the whole thing to the UK but I'm not sure the Bear vibe can be replicated,
