Loki - A bit schizophrenic, Loki is a lounge that doesn't seem to be able to decide whether it wants to go for the feel of an airy corner bar, a brew pub, or a pseudo-Soho lounge. Different nights attract different crowds, with weeknights and Thursdays being more of a Park Slope-hipseter scene, while weekends have the place sliding into a bit more of a testosterone-laden pick-up joint. Perhaps the best time to come is on Sunday afternoon, when the place is nearly empty, and the front portion of the venue is opened up to the street. You can sit and nurse a beer, listen to music, or peruse one of the the many magazines collected in the front bar rack.
