Never Again
So yeah I have been to The Rave probably 20 different times, and It's always always something. This experience at The Rave included being threathend by secuirty, getting robbed by secuirty, and also getting robed at knife point in the parking lot, that I paid to park in provided by The Rave. So, first thing first. The security are always asshole's. I was spinning some sock with tennis balls in them (poi) and a security guard walked up to me and said "If you don't stop spinning them ill rap them around your neck and choke you", then stole them from me after i offered to put them away. Second as i'm opening my car door a hoodlum puts a knife to my stomach and robes me for 100 dollars. The Rave will have 15-30 security guards inside but none outside. The Rave is located in a horrible neighborhood. The Rave should really take some responsible and put some security to keep us (the paying customers safe). On top of all that the sound quality was horrible all i heard was bass no highs. I mean I pay 40 dollars to listen to something that in mine and a lot of other people I talked to that night about it, was s#*! . I would not suggest any one go to The Rave in my eyes it's way to expensive and the people there treat you like s#*! , and that not good costumer service. This is my first review that I have ever wrote, so that should tell you how strong I fell about this place. Stay away go some where where people treat you good and you don't have to worry about being in a horrible neighborhood.

Testament Show 8/1/08
What a joke. The Rave has to be under the ownership of some cheap ass old banker type cause I've paid less in downtown Chicago at rock shows. $32 for my "vip" ticket which consisted of sitting(or in my case standing cause there were no seats left)on the second floor where all the heat had gathered from below. Before getting upstairs I was handed a"no moshing" flyer and kinda laughed, did they know who was playing here? After feeling the 110 degree heat, decided to pop for a round of beers for my two buddies and I........$19.50 for three....yes I said three, TAP Miller Lites. Are YOU KIDDING ME?? Then after getting upstairs and being charged $7.50 ea($22.50 a round) because they weren't tap rofl I wanted to spit it back in the guy's face.
It got pretty hot inside(no AC!!)so I decided to take a breather out front and smoke a cig, come back in and have some 14 year old female security guard start screaming something about no re-entry after I walk outside. I pretty much laughed at her and headed back upstairs.
All in all it was one of the worst experiences I have had to endure.....ever. You got me last night Rave, but it was the last time I visit your overpriced hole in the wall.
