Bar 13 - Proving the proverb wrong, there isn't a single part of this venue that can be unlucky, except if you're stuck outside. Part lounge and part club, this retro, yet futuristic, three-floor venue has a killer roof deck and the crowd and cocktails are as tasty as each other. The bar is nestled in the Union Square area so it attracts a flock of NYU coeds and recent grads and tends to be primarily on the younger side. A weekend DJ spins electronic dance music, and if raging parties aren't your thing, you can stop by on Mondays for poetry night. It also features one of the best happy hours in town with 2-for-1 drink specials every night.
