This bar/restaurant had a great 2 4 1 happy hour. It featured a 50 foot food bar, including carving stations, salad and desert stations.
For each drink purchased, one would get a food ticket for all one can eat. Well drinks were about $1.50 each and good. People who came for happy hour would usually stay. About 10 P.M. the place would start to fill until "PACKED". THE GALS DRESSED FAIRLY NICE some in very nice dress. The crowd was mixed age. The bartenresses friendly.
Most often a live band, but early in the evening a d.j. In all a good place. However, I could take only a hour of the LOUD, CACAPHONIOUS noise that many people think of as music! I could not hear myself think let alone try to carry on a conversation with a gal, this was nigh impossible without screaming in each other's ears. This has never been my style. I find that most females who do not mind this kind of environment, have not the intelligence or self-esteem that I prefer.
Sadly, most clubs are as loud or, if possible, even louder. People jumping up and down apart from one another, is NOT my idea of 'DANCING". They do better in the tribes of
Africa. My mother always told me, "son, if you are going to dance, dance with a girl". That has been my successful policy since. Too bad most people do not know how to dance anymore, Ha, They have no idea about what real romance is..Sad for them, good for me..
