ManRay - If a city filled with Abercrombie-wearing college yutzes makes you want to slug arsenic, ManRay is a must-see. All things goth, industrial, gay (why that gets lumped in there is beyond us) and fetish-y are celebrated and, well, fetishized.
A big, windowless, hulking building is the appropriate home to all the mayhem. Wednesday is CryptMechanism, Boston’s oldest goth night and not for the feint of heart. Don’t wear jeans and don’t gawk. Thursday is Campus night for “alternative” gays (whatever that means), and the dress code then is more, um, relaxed. Friday is a rotating fetish night. Please note that no one has a fetish for white baseball caps. Saturday is the night to get in touch with your inner punk. Go dressed up. You’ll like it more.
