Club Café - Club Cafe adopts a one-stop shopping approach to gay nightlife. It’s a bar, a restaurant, a dance club, a pickup joint, a karaoke bar, and a concert venue. The restaurant is actually rather ambitious, considering it is attached to a notoriously cruisy bar. The menu style could best be described as New American, though we do hear tale that the kitchen’s performance is uneven.
But if it’s a simple night out you want, Club Cafe can deliver. There’s a series of DJ’s, clever, campy video collages, karaoke, drink specials and lots and lots of men. The scene is very mixed and decidedly un-college. It has won the Boston Phoenix’s Best Gay Bar award for a reason.
