Cask 'n' Flagon - It doesn’t always have to be fancy to be good. With so many up scale lounges popping up, it’s strange to see this corner spot that looks more like a country saloon than a city hotspot still holding its own. Proximity to Fenway Park is its biggest asset, but even when the Sox are on leave, college kids and 20 somethings are drawn to this watering hole for simple pleasures. Hang at the centerpiece bar, play Golden Tee or dance to the latest cheese pop on the wee little dance floor. Drunken happiness that feels like an urban hoedown can be had at the Cask n Flagon. Food is decent, prices ain’t steep and you can watch a game or meet a friend without all the bells and whistles.
