Appetito - The two locations Appetito has spawned speak to the devotion of the South End crowd that regularly packs this upscale Italian eatery. The suburban version is nestled in the leafy enclave of Newton Center. If the menus are similar, the decor is not. Think Martha Stewart suburban versus Kathy Griffin urban.
That’s merely on the surface, really. The main attraction is the food and it consistently wins raves. They proffer house-made pasta, tons of healthy grilled meat dishes and several not-so-healthy pasta and cream sauce plates. Don’t even imagine that their sinful desserts are good for you.
