The Roxy Theatre - Together with the Whisky and the Troubador, Roxy completes the trinity of classic Hollywood venues that still manage a solid lineup of interesting musical acts. With one main room with a stage about a foot and a half off the ground, patrons can either stand on the main floor and get uncomfortably close to the musicians, or come early to get one of the tables in the back. Those seated can order food, which amounts to the standard bar appetizer stuff. The venue has been around for decades, and artists like the Ramones, Bob Marley and Brian Wilson have recorded live albums here. The Roxy has maintained an eclectic mix in their line-ups, ranging from blues and country to punk or emo, with a good amount of standard guitar rock to keep the regulars happy.
