Whisky a Go Go - Founded in the 60’s, today the Whisky still holds the distinction of being one of LA’s top rock clubs. The venue generally features long lists of bands -- sometimes you might even have even heard of one. It costs $10 for parking, and another $10 to walk through the front door, but if your wallet feels light, you’re in look – food and drinks aren’t badly priced. The Whisky let’s in people of any age, which can make for an annoying swarm of showy high school kids mobbing the door. (The same thing happens at the Roxy). After beating your way through the under-aged group at the door, inside is a cozy main room. Those needing more space should check out the upstairs loft, order a burger and watch the band from the comfort of a table.
