RUDE!!!!
Unfortunately, I did NOT have the opportunity to dine at Warmdaddy's on the night of my visit. My boyfriend and I were excited about going out to eat, went online and made a reservation, and immediately headed out the door. It didn't take us as long as we anticipated to get there, so we arrived at 6:30pm and went in earlier than our reservation. At the door, we were asked if we were there for the show. We said no, just dinner, and were allowed to enter without incident. The hostess seated us right away as there were plenty of vacant tables. Before we could get comfortable and make a selection from the menu, a gentleman came over to us, telling us there was a show that evening. We explained that we were not there for the 8pm show. He explained that we each had to pay a $20 cover charge if we wanted to stay FOR DINNER; he stated beginning at 6:30pm everyone has to pay a cover charge. He actually recounted how he took the time to go over to the man working at the door to ask if we paid a cover charge. When he was told no, he decided to come over to us and ask us for the money. We told him we were not interested in paying $40 for the two of us just to have dinner since we were going to be finished BEFORE the 8pm show, and no disrespect, but I have no idea who Carol Riddick even is. So, we left.
I just want to tell you how embarrassing that was to be seated then immediately escorted out of the restaurant. I was so incredibly disturbed that our nice evening out for dinner ended this way. Those that were on the dining floor watched us as we walked out.
I frequently dine out in this city, at least 3 times per week, and have never experienced anything like this. And to think that you would rather lose the revenue from two patrons willing to pay for dinner and in turn have a positive experience and potentially be repeat customers for a mere $40 is absurd. I certainly don't have anything positive to share about my experience the evening of 10/22/10.
