Sweet & Vicious - This former warehouse has seen the dot com boom and bust, post 9/11 struggles and it's still striving as a stylish spot in NoLita. The exposed brick and low wooden benches permit lots of standing room and give the bar a warm, intimate ambiance. The beautiful back garden offers candlelit nooks that don't deserve to be smoked in, although it is permitted. Overall, Sweet & Vicious has an international vibe and a DJ after 10pm on the weekends will play 70s rock. If you don't plan on making a night of it here or pay for your entourage, be sure to bring cash. Stick to beer or wine since cocktails tend to be watered down.
