Bowery Ballroom - Sets the standard for midsize rock clubs as one of the better live venues. Built at the site of a former shoe store, Bowery books mostly mid-level alternative rock/dance acts. With fewer and fewer places to see live music in NYC these days, we're willing to forgive some of the rough edges in this club. The decor puts the old in old school and there's nothing worse than getting your beer in a plastic cup.
