Fittingly, the legendary comedy club has given more breaks to up-and-coming comediennes than any other comedy club in New York. In addition to seeing comedians like Charlie Murphy perform, bigger names like Seinfeld and Chapelle have been know to stop in for surprise appearances to test out new routines. Like most comedy clubs, there is a two-drink minimum but perhaps the highlight is dining in the supper room before a performance.If you’re lucky, you may be reward a complimentary bottle of sparkling white wine before a show. If not, buy the drink you’re supposed to because really, people do seem funnier after drinks.
